Goole’s Mini Bugz Nursery has been awarded outstanding in all areas in their latest Ofsted report.
When the nursery was inspected by Ofsted on Wednesday, May 28 inspectors found the “Leaders and staff genuinely care about the children, their families and wider community.” The report states the nursery staff “have a strong understanding of the local area and are mindful of the pressures families face. “They take account of this in developing their policies and procedures. “For example, the setting provides 'bring and share' costumes for dressing-up events so that all children are included. “Children know that they can take spare toothbrushes and donated toys home to share with their siblings and neighbours. “This fosters a true sense of community where all children are supported to have the best start in life. “Parents say the setting 'feels like family’.”
The report goes on to state that “Children are confident, independent learners who can lead their own play. “Staff skilfully stretch children's learning, for example, by wondering, out loud, how children might extend their activity. “Children are consistently highly engaged, concentrating for long periods.” Speaking about their latest inspection, Mini Bugz Nursery Company Directors Faye and Jo said: “Mini Bugz has been serving our community with childcare since September 2012. “We are absolutely delighted to have received an outstanding rating from Ofsted, to us it reflects all the hard work and dedication of our fantastic team of staff and wonderful cohort of children and their parents “In April 2025 we reinvested a lot of money and time to create purpose built baby and toddlers rooms. “This has been a great addition to our setting and the feedback from professionals, Ofsted and parents during visits has been incredible. “There are a number of high quality childcare settings in Goole, both independently owned and on a larger scale, so to be the only one that is currently rated Outstanding is something I believe we are justifiable proud of.” (03-07-055 SU)
